FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
You have questions? We have answers.Â
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get when people are researching joining us at the Ranch.
Can I have my wedding at your Ranch?
We appreciate your interest! For your quick reference, we require a full buyout of the Ranch for at least three nights for weddings. In June, we start discussing weddings for the following year. Head over to our Weddings page for all of the information you could need as you begin your research.
Do you allow people who aren't staying there to join you for dinner?
While we pride ourselves in the attention we provide to the guests who are staying with us on-Ranch, we are generally able to accommodate up to 10 “off-Ranch” dinner guests per night with prior reservations. Reservations can be made by emailing info@idahorocky.com or by calling our office at 208-725-3000. You will be asked to provide a credit card to secure the reservation.
On Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, we feature exquisitely crafted meals in an a la carte style. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, we have what we call a “family style” offering. More information about our dining program can be found on our Dining page on our website.Â
Meals include appetizers starting at 5:30, with dinner service starting at 6:45 for off-Ranch guests. Alcohol (we have wine from around the world, and craft beer focused in Idaho, but no hard liquor) and gratuity are not included, and meals are $105 per person plus tax.
There is a $25 per person charge for cancellations within 24 hours of your scheduled reservation, or for no shows.Â
Do you serve alcohol?
We are thrilled to feature Idaho craft beer, and a massive wine list from around the world. However, we do not have liquor. Beer and wine is an additional charge, and is not included in the cost of the reservation.
Can I use your hot pool?
Our hot springs pool is reserved exclusively for use by guests of the Ranch only, whether we are in or out of season.
What is the closest airport to your Ranch?
The Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) is in Hailey, Idaho is one hour and twenty minutes from the Ranch. The major airlines that fly into SUN are Alaska Airlines, Delta, and United. During the summer, there are daily direct flights from Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Seattle. The next closest airport is in Boise (BOI), and it’s approximately a three hour drive to the Ranch.
A rental car will be necessary, and either airport has ample availability.
Do you offer shuttle service from the airport?
We do not offer shuttle service from the airport. We always recommend renting a car because we are surrounded by more wilderness than anywhere in the lower 48, so once you get to the Ranch, you’ll likely want to explore the area! Additionally, it’s a mile from the upper ranch lodge – where guest accommodations are – and the lower ranch – where the hot springs pool, pickleball court, horses, massages, and our yoga studio are located.
Do you allow pets?
For a number of reasons, we are not able to allow guests to bring their pets to the Ranch.
Do you have anything for kids to do?
We have a number of hikes and biking trails that are perfect for our youngest guests. We also have paddle boards and a paddle boat that they’re welcome to enjoy with a parent. Additionally, our upper ranch is set up in the shape of an upside-down horseshoe, so kids are frequently seen chasing showshoe hares, sneaking a peek at a squirrel by the cabin, or playing traditional yard games like frisbee, horseshoes, or even bocce ball. At our lower ranch, we have a wonderful pickleball court, and of course our mountain-fed hot springs pool.Â
Three times a week, as well, we offer a children’s program for kids 5 and up from 6 to 9pm where parents can have some personal time over dinner, and one of our crew members will feed and entertain them. If you chose to go on a horseback ride, as well, children ages 6 and up are welcome to join you.
What time is check in / out?
Check in starts at 3pm, and check out is by 11am on the day of your departure.
What is your cancellation policy?
We always encourage potential guests to confirm dates and plans prior to booking a reservation with us. Our standard cancellation policy is that if you need to cancel your reservation for any reason – if it’s done more than 30-days in advance of your scheduled arrival, there’s a 10% cancellation penalty. If you cancel within 30-days of your scheduled arrival, there is no refund for your booking. Please carefully review our policy, as we are a small ranch operation which optimizes our planning and resource management.Â
